When your truck can double as a mobile generator, the possibilities are endless. With Ford Pro Power Onboard technology, your Ford vehicle isn’t just built to haul and tow—it’s built to power your workday, weekend, and everything in between. Whether you’re on a job site, tailgating with friends, or tackling a home improvement project, Pro Power Onboard transforms your truck into the ultimate portable power station.
What is Ford Pro Power Onboard?
Ford Pro Power Onboard is an available feature on select Ford trucks—like the F-150, F-150 Hybrid, and Super Duty—that lets you use your truck as a generator. With multiple outlet options, you can power tools, appliances, electronics, and more right from your vehicle. Depending on the configuration, Pro Power Onboard offers 2.0 kW, 2.4 kW, 7.2 kW, or even 7.2 kW+ of exportable power, giving you serious capability when and where you need it.
How It Works
Pro Power Onboard draws energy from your truck’s gas, hybrid, or diesel engine to provide electrical power through standard household-style outlets located in the truck bed, cabin, or both. You simply plug in your tools or devices and get to work—no bulky, noisy generator required.
Key Features Include:
-
Multiple Power Levels: Choose from configurations that meet your specific needs.
-
Convenient Outlet Locations: Access outlets right in your truck bed or cab.
-
Real-Time Monitoring: Keep track of your power usage via your vehicle’s touch screen or the FordPass™ App.
-
No Extra Equipment: No need to haul around a separate generator—your truck has you covered.
Perfect for Work
For contractors, electricians, and job site crews, Pro Power Onboard means no more searching for an outlet or dragging around heavy extension cords. Power saws, air compressors, lights, and more—all from your truck—so you can work more efficiently and keep projects moving.
Perfect for Play
It’s not just for the job site. Heading out for a weekend camping trip? Plug in your mini fridge, lights, or even a sound system. Hosting a tailgate? Run your TV, cook on an electric grill, and keep the drinks cold without missing a play.
